Hajjlaran - A spice introduced
to the Enterprise crew by an alien trader named D'marr. D'marr
claims
that the warlords of Preenos test their courage with
it. Trip indicates that it is hotter than cajun food.
"Oasis" [ENT]
Hamboyan, E. (Kevin Derr) - SEE: Corporal Kelly.
Haradin - The E2 got schematics
from Haradin traders which showed how to modify Enterprise's
injector assembly. The modifications would
allow the ship to travel at warp 6.9 for brief intervals.
"E2" [ENT]
Harmonica - A small wind
instrument which Trip knows how to play.
"Precious Cargo" [ENT]
He traded it for the use of a
horse. "North Star" [ENT]
Hart -
Ensign who pulled out Tucker's chair for him. Tucker believes its
because Hart knew he
was
pregnant.
"Unexpected" [ENT]
Hawkins -
MACO Corporal. male. He was wounded when he took part in an
away team sent to
investigate the Seleya and why the Vulcans on that ship went
mad. His arm
was injured and he was loosing a lot of blood.
He was treated in the
Seleya's sickbay. He wanted to set his weapon
to kill because stun
wasn't working on the Vulcans but was reminded by
T'Pol that they
were on a rescue mission. He was unaware that
Vulcans had emotions,
but T'Pol explained to him that they do, only that
they keep them
under tight
control.
"Impulse" [ENT]
During the reconnaisance of the Xindi kemocite
facility, he was standing
by with an assault team in case a more direct action
was needed.
"The Shipment" [ENT]
He was picked by Reed for a mission to retreive the
redundant memory
core from a Sphere because when, upon reviewing
service transcripts, he
found that Hawkins had over a thousand hours in an
EV suit. Hawkins
attributed this to doing six months on the Janus
loop. The Janus loop
included EV combat
training.
"The Council" [ENT]
He was killed by the automated defense system of the
sphere.
"Countdown" [ENT]
Hayden -
male Crewman who Phlox thought was getting ready to mate with Crewman
Bennett.
Phlox wanted to
watch.
"Fight or Flight" [ENT]
Hayes - Female crewman. "Dead Stop" [ENT]
Hayes
(Stephen Culp) - MACO Major. male. Rank insignia is a triangle
containing an oak leaf or
starburst, and the TOS command star.
"The Xindi" [ENT]
Has undergone lunar training.
He was part of the reconnaissance mission to
sneak into the facility
producing a substance crucial to the Xindi weapon.
"The Shipment" [ENT]
A series of training drills with the Starfleet
officers and the MACOs
led to an explosive fight between Reed and Major
Hayes.
"Harbinger" [ENT]
He was killed during a successful rescue of Hoshi
from the Xindi
weapon.
"Countdown" [ENT]
Hayworth, Rita - The Nazi
guarding Archer in the back of the truck liked Rita Hayworth.
"Storm Front, part 1" [ENT]
Headache - When Mayweather came
into sickbay complaining of headache, Phlox thinks it might be
related to the "neural implants" from the "repair
station". Then goes on to mention that the Terrellian
plague starts out as a simple headache.
"Singularity" [ENT]
Helix - A Suliban space
station.
"Broken Bow" [ENT]
Hernandez, Erika
- Captain of the NX-02 Columbia.
"Affliction" [ENT]
Hexatriol - A medical supply
that is only used to treat plasma burns according to Dr. Phlox.
"Marauders" [ENT]
Holographic - Of or pertaining
to the recording or reproduction of 3-dimensional images
(holograms).
"Unexpected" [ENT]; "Oasis" [ENT]
Horizon, ECS
- Travis's family's ship was the Horizonn. In 23 years
Mayweather's folks experienced
problems no more than about a half a dozen times,
but they were never out as far as Enterprise (2 weeks
at warp 5 or
less).
"Fight or Flight" [ENT]
Hess - A
female lieutennant who is in charge of engineering when Tucker is
away. Archer asks T'Pol
to get her to replace the starboard door on launch
bay 2.
"Shuttlepod One" [ENT]
Hull plating
- The primary defensive system aboard Ennterprise. The ship's
hull plating can be
polarized to absorb and redirect energy. This
polarization process could be the forerunner of the
Structural Integrity Field.
"Broken Bow" [ENT]
The Tholian weapons cause the Enterprise's hull
plating to depolarize.
"Future Tense" [ENT]
Hull plating is one of the first systems they got
back after the Osaarian attack in the anomaly.
"Anomaly" [ENT]
On the NX-02 hull polarization was improved by 12%.
"Home" [ENT]
Human - An intelligent species
native to Earth. As of 2151, Humans have only recently entered
the
interstellar community with the advent of a warp 5
engine.
"Broken Bow" [ENT]
"Humanoid
figure" (James Horan) - "Humanoid figure" is the name given
in the credits for this
mysterious participant in a temporal cold war. He originates from
the
future. The "Humanoid figure" commands Silik
and the Suliban Cabal
to act as soldiers on this 22nd century front of the
temporal cold war.
"Broken Bow" [ENT]
He tried to start a Klingon civil war in the year
2151, and had been
manipulating Archer's mission from the beginning.
He told Archer about the Xindi's involvement in the
attack on Earth
and of their plans to build another more powerful
weapon.
"The Expanse" [ENT]
The "humanoid figure" comes from 300 years prior to
the 31st century (in other words, he's from the
28th century). When the timeline was changed
so that Archer was removed from it, Silik could no
longer contact the "humanoid figure".
"Shockwave, part 2" [ENT]
According to Daniels, the "humanoid figure" comes
from a time when time travel was not yet perfected.
The "humanoid figure" can only partially
materialize, to deliver orders.
"Cold Front" [ENT]
(It is uncertain what is meant by time travel
being "not yet perfected". The Vorgons, which came from
the 27th century, certainly can fully materialize
in the past.
"Captain's Holiday" [TNG]
However, even as late as the 29th century, when
the Relativity sends people into the past we see problems
with the process, i.e. temporal narcosis.
"Relativity" [VOY]
The humanoid figure comes from the 28th century,
yet he doesn't fully materialize in the past like the
Vorgons do. Perhaps the Vorgons were
susceptible to temporal narcosis which may explain why they
never tried time travel again to retrieve the
Tox-Utat. One might argue that full-materialization is not
actually "perfected" until you overcome the
problem of temporal narcosis, and that won't happen until
Daniel's time (31st century) which is even after
the time of the Relativity in the 29th century. Moreover,
we can't really say that the
partial-materialization technique that the humanoid figure uses wasn't
also
available to the Relativity or the Vorgons, and
that they simply didn't use it because they would not
have had allies in the past, like the Suliban
which the humanoid figure has won over to his cause.)
Hunting - Hunting, having gone
out of favor, is outlawed throughout the Earth around the year 2050.
"Rogue Planet" [ENT]
Hutchinson
- ensign. It was suggested that thhey should relieve Mayweather.
"Minefield" [ENT]
Hydroponics - A source of food
aboard freighters when supplies of "fresh" food runs low.
"Fortunate Son" [ENT]
The ship has a "hydroponic greenhouse".
"Breaking the Ice" [ENT]
Hypergiant - Enterprise was
investigating a hypergiant star in 2151 that was loosing mass at an
incredible
rate. It was predicted to go supernova in one
or two hundred years. No earth ship had ever been within
10 light years of a hypergiant
star. "Cogenitor" [ENT]
Hyperspanner - An engineering
tool... a silver-colored cylinder about 30cm long and 4cm wide, with
grooves cut around each end. Presumably it was
inert, durable and cheap, since Trip had no qualms
about dropping it into the new space they had found
on the ship from the future.
"Future Tense" [ENT]
(A spanner is a wrench having a hook, hole, or
pin at the end for meshing with a related device on
another object. Presumably then, a
hyperspanner is meant to have other tools fit into the grooves
at the end of the cylinder shown making it into
whatever tool they need at the moment - this might
explain its varying appearance from show to show)
Reed directs Archer to use the power cell of the
hyperspanner to fool the Romulan mine's arming
circuit. SEE: Power
Cell
"Minefield" [ENT]
Trip asks Reed hand him a hyperspanner for some work
on the arm of the captain's chair.
"Singularity" [ENT]
Engineering tool used in the calibration of plasma
injectors.
"The Ship" [DS9]
General purpose engineering tool used by Starfleet
personnel.
"Empok Nor" [DS9]
Chakotay uses this tool to repair the co-operative's
communications array.
"Unity" [VOY]
Torres says that it would be a lot easier to
interplex the comm systems on the environmental suits
if she had a
hyperspanner.
"Day of Honor" [VOY]
According to the Doctor in the Kyrian simulation,
using a hyperspanner in the torture of the prisoner
would leave an unacceptable level of damage.
"Living Witness" [VOY]
Kim says that he just stopped by to borrow a
hyperspanner.
"Drive" [VOY]
In a holostory written by the Doctor, the
representation of Torres says that the doctor is a tool like
a hyperspanner and can be replaced.
"Author, Author" [VOY]
Torres says that gene sequencing is a tool like a
hyperspanner.
"Lineage" [VOY]
Hypospray - The hypospray is
descended from a primitive device called a hypodermic syringe.
Both
devices are used to inject a suspension into the
body, but whereas the syringe accomplishes this
though the use of a fine, hollow needle, the
hypospray achieves this goal without using a needle.
Archer was awakened by a hypospray by the
Ferengi. Archer secretly lets Trip know that he can
find it in launch bay 2. Trip finds it and
uses it to wake T'Pol, but when he tries to awaken Hoshi
finds that it is
empty.
"Acquisition" [ENT]
